At first, he missed his previous teacher. I guess one of the reasons he missed him is that he was a guy teacher. He hadn't had much chance to meet a guy teacher.

However, he enjoys your class now. He sometimes talks about you.
I hope you keep him busy talking English and doing his homework- Don't say to him that I asked you for this.^^ It's a secret between you and me~~~. Regarding his homework, I want you to give him more chances to write something English. 'cause talkmania (talkfun) writing homework is the only time he practices writing English.
