A volcano called 'Vesuvius' erupted in 79 A.D.'s August.Because of this explosion,2~3meters of volcanic ash and
Lapillus covered all over Pompeii.Approximately 2,000 people died due to this accident.
After the eruption stopped,some people excavated treasures but in the 15 century
people forgot the existence of Pompeii.But at the end of 16 century,a small group of people started excavating the Pompeii.
Excavation had begun in earnest since 1748.
The Pompeii is in the south east of the volcano Vesuvius,a port city in the estuary
on the Sernus river.It succeeded as a farming and industry's pivot.
And there was another disaster happened before the great explosion of the volcano Vesuvius.
