Are the comic books useful and beneficial?

The parents in the world always insist that it is necessary to read a book as it includes a lot of helpful information and fill the space of one's brain with the knowledge. However, there is one thing that they oppose though it is a book and that is a comic book. As there are only drawings and not much writings, the kids tend to read short scripts, the so parents usually think that they offer no information. Otherwise, nowadays, the as adults impose children not to read a comic book, the population of kids who read books is much more decreased than when the they enjoy it. Somehow, I agree that some of the comics are useless and impress the children's mind with the dirty scenes. But I strongly claim that the comic books are also beneficial.
First, academic cartoons including much tip-off are as just same as just a novel. Due to the purpose of its production that is for easier appreciation, readers are capable of understanding and acquiring the knowledge without any difficulty. Though ordinary books also strengthens a reader's the ability of the implying as well as understanding, it offers little information while the learning when you read a cartoon. The main purpose of taking the time to read books is to get familiarized with it and it is more preferable to have a cartoon.
Second, it is related to interest. The most important thing for reading is to have an interest on it. If there isn't any interest, people won't even take a look at the books. So, what to say about the advantages of it is different from the novel which shows only a lot of sentences and the words. Even when I search the information about this, the kids who enjoy reading decreased extremely compared to when they spend time on cartoons.
Until here, I have talked about the reason why I impose the opinion that the cartoons are useful to the students. To say more simply in a simpler manner, one is about the knowledge and the other is the interest. Although there are many good things for this, some students glimpse into only to the pictures and not necessary the words. Actually, this kind of this situation can be the matter, but still let's focus on reading a comic book  than making ourselves accustomed to reading a boring novel.
