I think it is diffrent by people's hobby and traits.
Lukury goods makes people who likees shopping happy. However It isn't if he or she is not into shopping.
First reason) If he or she wants luzury goods, they have to buy them. However, for someone who doesn't like shopping, they wont like to buy them. Buying them will make he or she tired.
Second reason) If he or she are into luxury goods, they will go shopping. That means, they have to like shopping. So luxury goods will make them happy and glad.
Third reason) Every people's traits are diffrent. That is why someone will like luxury goods, but some don't.
