I don’t think people who hid all the treasures after treasure hunting are bad. They just followed there id. I can understand them, and everybody would do too. Let’s think about a situation that you picked something up which was the one you really wanted to have before, like diamond or object that is very precious and expensive. Thus, you don’t have to give it back to the owner because there are no CCTV and people who saw you picking it up. Then, let me ask, will you try to find the real owner of that object and give it back to him/her? I am not going to. There is nothing to worry about, no observer, nothing that can hold on to you. Back to the topic, the people who hunted the treasures, not like accidently picking up, everybody would know about them, and they were the symbols of fear. Even though there were soldiers, no one would dare to halt or resist them. They could just simply put the gold, gems or documents somewhere very secret, the place only they know. So they have the proprietary of the treasures that they robbed. It is just same thing-hunting and hiding and picking up and not giving it back to the owner. It was medieval time so yet no scientific equipments to bother them. Therefore, suspecting it was medieval time, I would have done the same thing as the greedy did.

PS: I am not sure if these sentences do make grammerical(?) sense...

They do make sense, Min!
