What is the most important quality when raising a child? The answer for this question can vary a lot, depending on each one's point of view. Among those possible answers, I suggest that "responsibility" is the most significant virtue when you raise a child. I will give you two specific reasons for my opinion.
First of all, we can prevent child abuse from happening with responsible parents. Nowadays, news about severe child abuse pop up very frequently, and it (what) is more shocking in that (is) those incidents are usually done by the children's own parents. Then, why is it happening? Some suggests (suggest) parent's social isolation or extreme distress as its cause, but I think child abuse, along with other negative domestic affairs that happen to the children, occurs mainly because that the parents lack responsibility for their children. Let's say that those parents thought like, "We are responsible to raise our children and to make them become wholesome members of the society. " Then, do you still think they would be able to do such a horrible thing to their children? I don't think so. I am sure that having responsibility is one of the most effective ways to prevent child abuse.
Second of all, having responsibility not only "for your children" but also
"for following the norms and laws of your society" can have positive effects on your children. For example, if the parents follow the rules well in front of their children, their children will gradually learn that abiding by the norms is necessary to all people. Unlike learning morality from the school, learning from their own parents will affect them greatly (greatly affect them), and will make them hard (difficult for them) to break even minor rules henceforth. Like this, parent's responsibility for moral acts is effective in leading their children into the right path.
To conclude, responsibility is the virtue that matters most when it comes to raising a child. It can be proven by the fact that it helps prevent ing the domestic violence to (among) children, and it can lead their children into the proper path. If you want to raise your children successfully, please adhere to my advice, 'Have responsibility'.
