Homestay at my friend's house
Ding-dong! It was the bell. I answered.
"Come in, Kate! You are early!" Kate is my best friend. She would move 1 week later, so I had to have a homestay with her.
"Julie!!" Kate yelled as she entered the huse. She was holding her doll kitty with delicious snacks in her sleep over bag. We went inside the room. I had a big kitty doll, too. We made sure that they packed lunch and started to play.
We laughed and played board games together till my father showed a movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We were both fans of Harry Potter, so we watched it happily. Then, it was dinner time. We ate dinner happily, too! Than, We washed and sang the song we made. It was so much fun.
My friend had moved, so we could sleep over or have a homestay on winter vacation!!!
Explanation: Homestay is a noun, thus, don't use it as a verb. Since you are telling a story that happened in the past, you need to be consistent on using Past tense. Also, than is different to then. Be careful of word spelling because it may cause confusion to your readers. Then means next, or something has happened.
